Can you buy comics in dollars?
I know it is not the site, but this I have to get it out of my system, and I don't know if someone will share my own opinion: I totally hate Dofantasy's payment method.
Reasons? Two: the page tends to hang when you are going to pay (or maybe it is my third world of 300 MBS, who knows?), and you can only pay in euros (something I used to pay through a Spanish friend, but I lost contact with him for a long time).
So, will I ask the question both here and in the Dofantasy forums, there is an alternative payment method in DOLLARS to buy the kh comics?
It seems that banks impose strict restrictions on BDSM comics, particularly those from Fansadox. For instance, PayPal doesn't collaborate with the adult industry at all. Unfortunately, this leaves Dofantasy with very few options.
Oh, Pay-Pal again? Once again, disappointing this poor viewer who only wants to buy their sadomasochistic comics.
Still, I still blame Dofantasy for limiting their payment method to euros only. The dollar is still a strong currency internationally, and the publisher is losing potential buyers who only use this currency. I don't think it bothers them too much, though, seeing as fansadox's comics are still profitable enough to renew their website (even though they've killed their community in the process by eliminating their forum). But... anyway.
Well, to end the topic, and not start another one on the forum, I know that both you and KH must have busy schedules, but I'd like to know, when do you really think you'll be able to create your Subscribestar account? I'd like to support you monetarily in some way, now that I can no longer buy comics.
I know the frustrations of trying to buy any sort of adult content, especially niche segment like BDSM art and comics. In the USA, the War On Pornography has been going on for years, but accelerated under The George W. Bush Regime where Charges of Terrorism were placed on sites like INSEX, effectively chasing them out of the USA. Back in the 2000's, I lived in Colorado near where BDSM artist Gary Roberts lived (at that time) and I visited him once - I was followed by an Air Force drone the moment I entered his property and until I left. He later moved out of the USA, after having sone of his pet's killed, mutilated and placed on his doorstep along with a letter telling him he was being watched. There is a great interview on, believe it or not, a Right Wing Podcast called Caravan To Midnight that John B. Wells spent 90 minutes talking to Gary Roberts about his art and being hounded out of the USA by choking off his income and charging him with Terrorism. If you can, I strongly suggest everybody listen to this podcast and you'll understand the difficulties the artists have selling their products.
Things didn't get better under Obama, he instituted "Operation Chokepoint", since running the site like Insex, Roberts and other out of the USA, the .gov went after the Credit Card Companies. They used the tactic of, "Getting Assault Weapons Off The Streets" (while supplying Assault Weapons to the drug cartels in Mexico) and also went after Adult Content Platforms. Roberts estimates that over 5,000 Adult Content websites have been shuttered because of the American Government. Things got worse under Biden, as some states in the USA have decided to "Save The children" by forcing an "Adult Identification Process" to be able to view Adult Material. I live in one of those states and use a VPN to get my material, since I really don't want to give some company/government I don't know my Driver's License, Passport, address and picture of myself. Also, some Adult Content Companies won't do business at all in those states.
I don't expect things to get better under Trump.
So, yeah, it's a PITA to have to buy from Do-Fantasy, but Platforms like Patreon, Tumblr and others have removed their Adult Content to keep the Feds from Shuttering them. Most Credit Card Companies that allow you to purchase Adult content, especially Niche Content like Bondage, BDSM, etc. are based overseas and most use The Euro instead of The Dollar. It's easy to get a monetary translation, so it's not impossible to get Niche material, but it's not as easy as it used to be.
I love the art of Gary Roberts, Kittyhand, Comixchef, Insex, Kink and others. I was blessed to have a wife who was very much a submissive and would select poses and predicaments to be placed. We were careful, she always had control and could stop the session any time she wanted and both of us enjoyed the material. It was not too long ago in the USA (and still happens in other parts of the world today), where Gays were imprisoned, beaten and even murdered. So think about the trials and tribulations the artists go through and be happy that we can get the material we enjoy.
